Gymnastics BC is pleased to announce the addition of two new staff and the transition of two existing staff members into new roles within the organization.
With GBC’s existing roster of dedicated and talented individuals, these transitions and additions will further strengthen the organization and allow us to provide valuable resources and services to our members.
Safety Officer
Gymnastics BC is pleased to announce Nathan Kindrachuk has been secured as GBC’s new Safety Officer, and will be starting his new position on February 3. Nathan has direct experience in the field of sport safety; he’s held a similar role with Alberta Gymnastics Federation since March 2019.
Nathan will be in charge of reviewing GBC policies as they relate to safety matters (Safety First, posters, waivers, etc.), developing new policies (e.g. Safe Sport), and tackling GBC’s insurance portfolio. His mandate will also include developing and communicating risk management strategies for clubs.
Member Services Manager and Bookkeeper
Gymnastics BC is excited to announce that Catherine Dubinsky will take on the role of Member Services Manager and Bookkeeper starting on January 20.
Some of you will remember Catherine as she worked with GBC for seven years (2007-2014) holding the position of Coaching coordinator for many years. She previously held the position of Member Services Manager for Badminton BC.
Technical Director and Coaching Roles
John Carroll has accepted the position of Technical Director. John has held the role of MAG Coordinator since 2002, as well as Technical Education Manager since 2018, providing him with extensive experience and knowledge to bring forward into his new role.
Leanne James will take on the NCCP / Education and event portfolios. Leanne excelled in her role of Administration and Event Coordinator at Gymnastics BC, and will use her skills and knowledge to guide her in her new position.
Both John and Leanne will transition in to their new roles on January 15.
