New And Familiar Faces At GymBC

AUGUST 5, 2021

Christine Ormerod started her new role as Technical Director this week after relocating from Ontario where she had most recently served as head coach at the Kawartha Gymnastics Club. Well-versed in day-to-day sport operations, program development and event management, Christine possesses excellent communication, service and organizational skills making for a great fit with GymBC’s goal of supporting clubs and aspiring gymnasts across the province. Christine is keen to engage with our diverse and dynamic community to develop great relations and partnerships among clubs, athletes, coaches, and volunteers.

Also, this week Keara Urquhart resumes her role as Gymnastic for All Manager. Keara had been on maternity leave since last summer and the GFA community is thrilled to have her back as we anticipate rapid growth for recreational gymnastics over the next several months.

Planning for fall assemblies, AGMs and formalizing our annual competition schedules are all well underway. Calendar and program updates will be circulated as dates and locations are confirmed over the coming weeks.

GymBC is excited about Christine’s start and Keara’s return with the organization. To contact Christine, please email. To contact Keara, please email.
