Gymnastics BC is going “Back to the 80’s” with Gymnaestrada 2024

Vancouver, BC (April 25, 2024) — Gymnastics BC (GymBC) in collaboration with Delta Gymnastics Society, is delighted to be hosting the highly anticipated 2024 BC Gymnaestrada extravaganza weekend. The event consists of participant workshops on Saturday, May 4th and “Back to the 80’s" themed performances on Sunday May 5th. The event will take place at the Richmond Olympic Oval.
Gymnaestrada provides the opportunity to celebrate movement and physical activity in a noncompetitive, inclusive environment while capturing the true values of the ‘Gymnastics for All’ and ‘Active for Life’ philosophies of sport and recreation.
The goals of Gymnaestrada are to promote and encourage the growth of Gymnastics for All, inspire and encourage joy in exercise and to demonstrate the development of the participants.
“We are incredibly excited to co-host BC Gymnaestrada with Delta Gymnastics Society in 2024. We've planned a fun and exciting weekend for over 250 participants, and we can't wait for the event weekend,” commented Taphatna Duncan, Recreation Program Manager, Gymnastics BC.
“Gymnaestrada perfectly captures the essence of gymnastics for all. It’s a great opportunity to showcase that there is a space for everyone within our wonderful sport. It brings me so much joy to be a part of that,” concluded Duncan.
All are welcome to attend in person to see the performances on May 5th. Doors open at 9:30 am and 1:00 pm for each show. Admission tickets can be purchased at this link. Prices vary from $7-$12/day. To ensure entry please pre-purchase your tickets as only a limited number will be available at the door.
