Vancouver, BC (June 15, 2022) — GymBC is pleased to announce the addition of Jared Goad to the role of Provincial Performance Advisor for the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Program.

Jared competed as a national level MAG artistic gymnast and senior level trampoline athlete. After transitioning from athlete to coach and judge, his passion for this sport led him to focus on the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics discipline. 

His coaching experience includes leading athletes in various disciplines to provincial, regional, national, and international levels of competition, including FIG World Cup events in 2019 and 2020.

Jared was a board member for Gymnastics Nova Scotia for eight years and the chairperson of the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Program Committee for three years. As chairperson, he worked closely with a team across the province to implement training camps for athletes, coaches and judges. Leading this team, he helped select athletes to represent Nova Scotia at National Championships, Canada Games and various international events. 

Having moved to the West Coast a year ago, Jared now looks forward to helping develop the athletes and coaches in BC.
