 BC Athletes Shine At WAG Elite Canada

This past weekend from February 7-9, BC athletes, coaches, and judges attended the WAG Elite Canada competition in Calgary, Alberta. BC athletes took home excellent results from the competition, with four athletes taking home several medals, and three athletes winning medals in the AA to put them on the podium. 

Finalist results were as follows:

Novice

  • Aaliyah De Sousa (Flip City) – 4th AA (2nd Beam and 3rd Floor),
  • Selena Gonzales (Phoenix) – Beam 7th
  • Viktoria Duchesne (Omega) – Vault 7th

Junior

  • Sydney Turner (TAG) – 5th AA (Beam 2nd, Bars 8th)
  • Jordanna Phillis (Phoenix) – Vault 2nd

Senior

  • Isabela Onyshko – 3rd AA (3rd Bars, 3rd Floor, 6th Beam)

 
Decorated BC athlete Shallon Olsen ranked 1st on Vault on day 2 of the competition, but did not compete on day 1. 

Congratulations to all BC athletes, coaches, judges, and volunteers for yet another great year at WAG Elite!
