This past Saturday, September 28, 2024, the Gymnastics BC community gathered at the Element Vancouver Metrotown Hotel to honor the exceptional talents, dedication, and achievements of the 2023-2024 season. The 2024 Gymnastics BC Awards and Scholarships Celebration, presented by Sport Burnaby was a night filled with heartfelt acknowledgments and inspiring stories, celebrating the outstanding contributions of athletes, coaches, and members of our community.

2024 Scholarship Recipients
Gymnastics BC proudly provided financial assistance to deserving student-athletes pursuing higher education. These scholarships were awarded based on athletic and academic achievements, community involvement, gymnastics backgrounds, reference letters, and personal essays.

Each recipient has demonstrated exceptional commitment to both their sport and their education, embodying the values of hard work and perseverance.

2024 Inclusivity Award
The Inclusivity Award was presented to Vivien Symington, whose ongoing efforts to promote diversity and inclusion within the gymnastics community have created a more welcoming and supportive environment for all participants.

2024 Members of Distinction
Gymnastics BC recognized members whose long-term contributions have significantly impacted the sport in British Columbia. This year, we were proud to honour:

Both individuals have made invaluable contributions to gymnastics in BC, and their dedication will leave a lasting legacy in the community.

2024 Life Member Award
The Life Member Award was presented in recognition of Doug Odin's contributions to gymnastics in BC. Doug’s lifelong commitment to the sport had a profound impact on the community, and we took a moment to honour his memory as this award was presented to his family.

The celebration was a meaningful event, filled with memories and milestones from this past season.
