NATIONAL COACHES WEEK (SEPT. 17-25) 

National Coaches Week is a time to celebrate the positive impact coaches have on athletes and communities across Canada. This annual campaign is an opportunity to recognize coaches for the integral role they play, and to take time to say #ThanksCoach.

All you need to know about National Coaches Week in BC can be found below: 

1) CAC CONTEST AND PARTICIPATION GUIDE

Visit the coach.ca National Coaches Week event page to download the Participation Guide, and learn how using the hashtag #thankscoach on social media could earn you a pair of $100 Petro-Canada gift cards! 

Specific eLearning modules are also available for free throughout the week – log into the Locker to find out what’s available! 

2) GYMBC COACH RECOGNITION CONTEST 

GymBC will be running a special contest to celebrate the amazing coaches in our community! 

We invite athletes, participants and parents to recognize the marvelous coach(es) in their lives, by submitting a recognition with a few words and/or photos and videos.

Entering the contest is easy, and all submissions will be entered into a draw to win one of four $25 gift cards*. Those with a media attachment will receive up to two extra entries per submission.

As a bonus, all coaches who are recognized will also be entered into a draw to win one of four $50 gift cards*! 

*winners will receive their choice of gift card from select options.  

Submission Deadline: Wed, Sept. 21 at 4 p.m.

Contest Draw: Fri, Sept. 30

3) VIDEO COMPILATION 

Help us put together a short video compilation showcasing our coaches in action! Good quality images or videos may be shared one of two ways: 

a) via Activity Messenger HERE.

b) By sending them via email to communications@gymbc.org. Please include the discipline (if not clear), and the name(s) of the coach/coaches featured. 

Submission Deadline: Wed, Sept. 21 at 4 p.m.

3) GYMBC FREE VIRTUAL EDUCATION SERIES
