2022 Elite Canada Update

JANUARY 10, 2022

1/10/2022: With ongoing uncertainty related to the Omicron variant and COVID-19 pandemic, Gymnastics Canada has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2022 Elite Canada event in Women’s and Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG and MAG). The event was scheduled to take place from February 16-20, 2022, at PNE Forum in Vancouver, BC.

With current restrictions preventing many athletes and clubs from preparing for this event adequately, WAG is planning to host a virtual Elite Canada competition. Updated directives and details will be communicated in the next week(s). MAG, however, is not planning to organize a virtual Elite Canada competition and will look into the possibility of virtual Technical Trials in May, should there be no return to “in-person” competitions.
