We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced circus instructors to join our team for the summer. The instructors will be responsible for teaching circus skills to children aged between 6 to 16 years old at our summer camps. The ideal candidates should have the desire to learn circus skills such as juggling, acrobatics, aerial arts, clowning, and other circus acts. Instructors will work under the guidance of the camp director to ensure that each camper has a fun and educational experience.
Responsibilities:
- Teach circus skills to children of various ages and skill levels.
- Plan and organize daily activities that promote skill development and create a fun and inclusive atmosphere.
- Ensure that all campers are safe and supervised at all times during camp activities.
- Encourage campers to work together and support each other in their learning and performance.
- Provide individual feedback to campers on their progress and development.
- Work with the camp director to maintain a positive and inclusive camp culture.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching circus skills to children.
- Knowledge of various circus acts such as juggling, acrobatics, aerial arts, and clowning.
- Experience working with children of various ages and skill levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from the camp director.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- A degree in circus arts, physical education, or a related field is desirable.
Schedule:
This is a seasonal position, and the successful candidates will work for 3 to 8 weeks during the summer months. Instructors should be available for the entire duration of the camp. The schedule will typically be Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 4:00pm, with occasional evening and weekend events.
