Position Title: WAG Competitive Coach

Primary Objective:
Inspire sports Victoria is looking for a competitive coach that has experience in the CPP/ JO Program. The candidate must be willing to help build and support our mission of creating emotionally, mentally, and physically strong athletes. This is done by valuing a strong relationship with the athletes, hard work, communication and integrity.
Coaches must be open to direct communication with athletes, parents, and staff to create a safe and inclusive atmosphere.
The ideal coach should be driven to expand their knowledge and always wanting to improve their coaching skills. The WAG Program believes that it takes a village to create well rounded athletes. If you are a coach that believes in coaction, then this might be the right fit for you.
Terms of Employment:
Full-time: 5 days and 40-hour/ week position with a maximum of 32 hours of coaching. Competition travel generally on weekends approximately 2-7 weekends over the competitive season. A 40-hour weekly schedule will consist of a range of mornings, afternoons, evenings and 1 weekend day.
Qualifications:
– Comp 2 trained, or comp 1 trained with CCP coaching experience
– Criminal record check
-Standard First-Aid & CPR.
-Making Ethical Decisions and Respect in Sport Certificates.
-Basic Administrative Skills (daily email communications, program planning)

– An eye for technical detail, and artistry
– Strong problem-solving skills
– Positive reinforcement when correcting athlete
– Confident and creative, out of the box coaching. Able to Coach the individual.
– Confidence in spotting or believes on a hands-on approach
– Ability to work well individually and as part of a team, willingness to mentor/develop junior coaches.
