The Chimo Gymnastics Club is a not-for-profit organization committed to the delivery of all levels of artistic gymnastics programming. We are the only full-time gymnastics facility in the Comox Valley, located on Vancouver Island.
The successful candidate will responsible for actively coaching and developing recreational gymnastics programs and the day to day functions of the position. This position is a full-time.
TITLE: WAG Coach
LOCATION:
This position will be in the Chimo Gymnastics training facility 1855 Noel Ave. Comox, BC.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRIORITIES:
Provide active coaching and development for participants
Support the logistics and the execution of the program activities and registration programs
Effectively communicate with all stakeholders
Participate in the implementation of club events, fundraisers and other activities
All other administrative tasks as necessary and requested
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
3 years experience in a similar role, including experience in the Junior Olympic Program
Experience with coaching all levels of preschool and recreational gymnastics
Background in Artistic Gymnastics, Circus Arts or Acro an asset
Creative, and good interpersonal and communication skills
Sense of initiative
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Ability to work under pressure and multitask
Ability to work flexible and extended hours when needed (evening end weekends)
Valid first aid training an asset
National Coaching Certification Foundations or equivalent or willingness to receive training
