Andrée loves to see gymnasts progress in their sport, which is what excites her most about her role as Technical Director at Gymnastics BC. This Québec native has built a gymnastics career with purpose, which can be traced back to her enrollment in the sport at the age of 11. At 13, Andrée took her first NCCP course and began working as a coach and judge. She went on to obtain Level 3 Women’s Artistic Gymnastics certification and a Level 2 in trampoline; she is also a Brevet judge. Andrée’s extensive judging career has also fed her appetite for travel; she judged the 2014 World Championships in China, the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Toronto, and Lima, and the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
Before heading west to join Gymnastics BC in 2003, Andrée spent 20 years as a Head Coach at three gymnastics clubs in Québec. In her present role at GBC, Andrée oversees all gymnastics programming in the province – from recreational to High Performance. She plays an active role in coordinating non-NCCP certification and judging courses, organizes major events such as the BC Games, and assists with the management of Team BC. With an impressive range of leadership experience and a gymnastics career spanning over four decades, Andrée is an esteemed member of the Gymnastics BC team. In her off-time, Andrée enjoys curling up with a good book, learning about other cultures and nature walks.
