REMINDER:

Clubs are NOT permitted to present or display GymBC membership fees bundled with other club or zone fees

Gymnastics BC membership fees must NEVER be marked up in club promotional materials, registration forms, on websites, etc. GymBC membership fees may NOT be grouped or associated with other membership or administrative fees that a club may charge.

All (non-casual) recreational gymnasts in BC pay the SAME $43 (2023-24) GymBC “Recreational Annual” membership fee (including Gymnastics Canada fee etc.). 

Clubs are NOT to post or publish that the GymBC recreational membership fee costs more than the actual fee, then retain the difference as a club administrative fee. If a club charges a membership or administrative fee it must be displayed SEPARATELY from the GymBC membership fee.

Acceptable examples:

Recreational athlete / participant:

• • GymBC membership fee = $43
  • Zone X fee = $5
  • Club membership (or admin) fee = $12

TOTAL FEE = $60

Competitive athlete:

• • GymBC membership fee = $165
  • Zone X fee = $5
  • Club membership (or admin) fee = $10

TOTAL FEE = $180

OR Recreational athlete / participant:

• • GymBC membership fee = $43
  • Club membership (or admin) fee = $17

TOTAL FEE = $60

OR Competitive athlete:

• • GymBC membership fee = $165
  • Club membership (or admin) fee = $15

TOTAL FEE = $180

UNACCEPTABLE EXAMPLES:

Recreational athlete/participant membership and/or insurance fee = $60

Competitive athlete membership and/or insurance fee = $180

GymBC's membership fees are the same throughout the province, regardless of what club an individual member belongs to or where they live. Therefore, GymBC membership fees MUST be displayed / published the same at all GymBC membership clubs; the fees may NOT be marked up.
